HUGE Injury News - Adrian Peterson

Adrian Peterson has a torn ligament in his knee.
"Luckily", it is his Lateral Collateral Ligament (LCL) rather than his ACL, MCL or PCL. This should allow him to return yet this season.
Also, the Vikings are claiming that Purple Jesus could even return to practice early in Week 12.
THe consensus opinion, however, puts All Day out for 2-4 weeks and I have absolutely no idea why the Vikings would risk running their prize player back. The Vikings are in the midst of a bad season and shouldn't be willing to risk further injury to Peterson's already torn knee.

Chester Taylor's value gets a slight bump, but do not get carried away here. Apparently he might only start for one week and he is nowhere near the gamebreaker that Peterson is. The Vikings still have no passing game to take the pressure off.

Another Major Injury - Deuce McAllister

ESPN has reported that Deuce McAllister has a torn ACL and will likely miss the remainder of the season.

This is good news for Reggie Bush owners, terrible news for owners of Deuce. It will be a hard road back for Deuce, if he truly does have a torn ACL, he's not far removed from his last major knee surgery.

McAllister has an MRI scheduled for Tuesday to confirm that it is indeed a tear. If it is, it'd be his 2nd major knee injury in 3 years, putting his career in questionable status.
